Work with me FAQ

How much do you charge for your services?
I left my regular job to peruse this dream, so this is now my full time job. I do put a lot of hours into creating something you’re hopefully going to love, so I do expect you to set aside a budget.

I like to work with a fixed price, rather than being paid by hour.
Within this fixed price your input after a review is included. Even the smallest details can be changed, so be as honest and critical as you can!

How much the total sum of a project depends on the complexity of the drawings and the amount of drawings that are needed.
I am happy to discuss this matter so that it is a price which both you and I are comfortable with.

How long does a project take?
This also depends on the complexity and amount of pages.
I always aim to deliver at least 2-3 drawings every week.

What does the process look like?
The easiest way is for you to send me your manuscript. I like to work on mutual trust and I will not use your script for anything other than a source of information. But if you want me to sign an NDA, I am happy to do that.

I will make an initial sketch first of either one of the drawings or a few of the characters. If you like the direction it is going in, we can continue for real 😊

If you don’t like it or it is not within in my comfort level, there is no harm done either!

What is your drawing style?

As you probably can tell from my website, my style is usually playful and cartoon-ish. Also, drawing animals is more my forte, rather than humans. However, I am always willing to give your preferred style a go.

Do I expect my name to be on the cover?

If you only need a cover, my name does not have to be on the cover, but I would appreciate my name to mentioned some where in the book.

However, if the book consist of a couple of my drawing, I do expect my name to on the cover. Otherwise it is just too hard for us illustrators to make a name for ourselves.

For any other questions or concern, do not hesitate to drop me an email so we can talk about!
