I have always been a little superstitious, so whenever I played a chess tournament as a child, I’d wear a black and white stripe shirt. The one time I didn’t, I didn’t win a medal.!
So, stripe shirts have always been special to me. In the rare occasion I go shopping, I’d most likely end up with 10 stripe shirts, or otherwise something else black or white.
To answer my own question, I am probably a cross between a raven and zebra 😉

For the most part, I choose no patterns. And black is prevalent for sure.

Ahhh, the times I have been called a goth because of wearing black 🙄. I always considered black to be safe, yet classy.
