Good question – no, I never heard anyone count 1,3,5…
I counted them as 1,2,3.

To answer your question, I did in fact count them like 1, 3, 5… Just something about the sheep themselves and their roundness prompted an odd counting

I usually count 2-4-6. I remember the day a teacher introduced me to it and it became a habit!
I am glad you like it! It isn’t a very complex, but sometimes simplicity is the best way to go.
It is inspired by the room of a hotel I once stayed in. But only the wall was covered with fish.
When the time come that I have a house on my own, I would like to have the wall of my bedroom covered with these sheep 😁

Counting by 2s really is quite intuitive and time consuming, whether it be an odd or even sequence. Simple art often provokes the deepest revelations in the eye of the observer, because I think humans tend to search for complexity. Inspiration really does strike in odd places!
