My oldest blog friend, Goldie, has never given up on tagging me in a Blogging Award, despite me never realizing them.
But I am feeling ambitious today, so here we go π
BTW:
Goldie is an amazing blogger, but a little difficult to refer to because they have yet to reveal their gender.
Actually, we are not even sure if Goldie is a retriever dog or a fish π
What I can do is reveal Goldie’s country of residence with a doodle π

Anyhow, here are my answers on the questions!
- Aside from reading/writing, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Doodling! Wasn’t that obvious? π
I also like to cook, play chess and watch films/series. - What was the biggest challenge you faced this year?
I struggle with OCD and unfortunately that is reoccurring biggest challenge every year. - What do you look forward to in 2021?
Hopefully we will be able to travel again.
Actually, I have nothing planned, so there is nothing to look forward to. - How do you normally spend Christmas? Will it be the same or different this year?
As a child, I would spend it with family.
We would do all the traditional things: set up a tree, presents under the tree, go to church and sing the traditional Christmas songs, eat a lot, play Monopoly and other board games.
This year it will be just J and me.
No church, no present, no tree.
Could it be that Christmas lost its value for me?
I think I have to answer with “yes”. Now that I am getting older and have decided not to have kids, I just cannot be bothered with it anymore.
Not the most satisfying answer, is it? Sorry.
- What is your favorite feeling?
The rare times that my mind is at peace
My Questions to whoever wants to participate (either answer it in the comments or in a post):
- How do you usually feel on New Year’s Eve?
- What is your favorite non-English song?
- Are you in bookclub/would you like to or do you forget about a book as soon as you put it down?
- What is your favorite flavor of chewing gum?
- Which cartoon character describes your personality the best and why? (High five if it’s Squidward Tentacles :D)
I’m glad I was able to catch you in an ambitious mood. Many have stopped doing award posts, but I thought it would be cool to bring it back. It’s been a while.
The flag eagle is awesome!
I was going to email you the other day – have you watched The Queen’s Gambit? I think you might have mentioned it before, but not sure…
You’ve decided not to have kids? That’s huge. Or are we going to find out next year you’re pregnant π
Mind at peace – an awesome feeling.
Answers:
– NYE? I roll my eyes. Just another night. But I do like to watch the fireworks (if they are nice).
– LOVE this question. It would be easy to share a Spanish song, but I’ll go with Arash Feat. Blestyashchie~ Vostochnye Skazki
– I forget a book the moment I finish it. However, I have been wondering about becoming a part of a book club. Just not sure if I could keep up with the demand for reading.
– chewing gum… I guess mint/ winterfresh.
– sadly – nothing comes to mind in terms of a cartoon character. I do love SPongeBob, though.

Awesome job with this award post, Andrea! ππ Iβll answer your questions!
1. Cautiously optimistic (π) and hopeful! I love it when a new calendar year begins.
2. Amour Plastique! I keep finding myself singing the lyrics I can pronounce πβ€οΈ
3. I would have fun being part of a book club! However my interest in different genres changes ALL the time, so I may not enjoy the assigned book to read…
4. Juicy Fruit! Sooo yummy π
5. Probably Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh! Heβs all about doing things correctly (like tending to his garden), gets frustrated easily when his friends get in the way, but he always comes back around to realizing his friends mean well and he needs to loosen up and be more cheerful. ππ
That was fun!

I have watched the Queens gambit (itβs also my favorite way to start a game ). It was very good. Made me fall in love with chess all over again.
It also shows the βwarβ between US and Russia nicely.
I was going to write on my other blog why We donβt want kids. Itβs a bit of an emotional one. Itβs not like I canβt have kids, but itβs better not.
Maybe I will finish it one dat.
Oh my! The song is epic and old school. I remember the same artist singing it in another language, but I love the sound of Russian!
Yet another reason to think a part of you is russian….. π§
How amount lemon chewing gum?
I think you have a bit of Squidward in you. At least the part where you donβt like overly social colleague (spongebob) or the not so bright customer (Patrick) π

Lemon chewing gum is something I considered when pondering my answer. I like anything citrus.
That’s why it’s hard to decide on one. I just feel like I have such different personality traits.

Thanks for answering.
I didn’t know the song, but I love how French sounds. I like the song too! I learned French for 2 years in high school but forgotten most of it π
Have you ever heard about the Winnie the Pooh character theory?
It says that each character represents a mental disorder. I think they say the same about the Spongebob Characters.
Since I have OCD myself, I definitely have a bit of Rabbit in me. But I think the world needs a bit more Rabbits, otherwise things would become a mess. So I am proud to add Rabbit to my list π

There seems to be a trend in making the Duck character the ones with the most explosive temper.
Daffy and Donald Duck at least.

Youβre welcome! Yeahhh me too, French is a beautiful language ππ oh cool! I have learned very little π I spent years learning Spanish instead!
Haha yeah I have! Like Tigger has ADHD, and Pooh has an eating disorder maybe.
Absolutellyyy!! Heβs a great guy who needs a bit of help every now and then. π
